Active Park Assist 2.0

Parking made easy - even in tight parallel or reverse perpendicular spots. When engaged, it can help locate a potential spot. Then all you have to do is brake to a complete stop, shift into Neutral and hold down the Active Park Assist button - your vehicle does the rest. Available Active Park Assist 2.0 also offers Park Out Assist with side-sensing capability so you can confidently navigate out of a parking spot when someone's parked too close to you - included in the Titanium Premium Package and Titanium Elite Package.

Panoramic Vista Roof®

The available panoramic Vista Roof features a large forward panel that tilts up or opens fully, plus a fixed rear skylight. So whether you're sitting upfront or in back, the Vista Roof lets in natural light. Available on SE EcoBoost and Hybrid, SEL and Titanium.

Hands-Free Foot-Activated Liftgate

Thanks to the available hands-free foot-activated liftgate, there's no need to fumble for keys. Its operation is especially helpful when your arms are full of items like grocery bags. With the Intelligent Access key fob in your pocket or purse, kick your foot under the bumper and the liftgate opens. You can also adjust the liftgate opening height, helpful for lower overhangs like garages. Included in the SEL Technology Package and Titanium Package.

Interior Design

The Escape's cabin is functional and well laid out. Its controls are easy to reach, and the Sync 3 touchscreen interface is snappy and simple to use. The driver's seat offers numerous adjustments that make it simple to find the perfect position, and there's plenty of room all around. With its sculpted design, the front seatbacks afford rear passengers plenty of leg room. Its tall doorsills also allow for easy access in and out of the vehicle.

Get In. Go. Repeat.

From the spacious interior to the sleek, head-turning lines of the exterior, Ford Escape was built for adventure on the road and a lifestyle on the go. Besides plenty of standard features, Ford Escape also offers several well-equipped models and packages like the SE Sport Appearance Package, SEL Stealth AWD Package and the Titanium Elite Package.

Technology

The Ford Escape has always offered drivers great technology, and the 2023 model looks to do the same. Standard features for this model include a height-adjustable driver’s seat, a six-speaker sound system, and an onboard Wi-Fi hotspot. Across its other trims are amenities such as an eight-inch touchscreen, ambient interior lighting, and multiple rear USB ports.

Available SYNC® 3

Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel with available SYNC® 3. It’s our easy-to-use voice-controlled technology that also has a capacitive touchscreen. Its sleek, user-friendly interface gives SYNC 3 more than just the ability to make phone calls and play your favorite music – it’s also about making connectivity fast, smart and simple.

Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control

Available Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control adds Speed Sign Recognition to go along with features like Stop-and-Go and Lane Centering Assist. Once you’ve activated the feature and set your preferred speed, the system can detect and automatically adjust to speed limit signs along your route. This smart system can also bring the vehicle to a stop, when needed, if traffic ahead has stopped or slowed. As soon as things clear, you’ll resume your set speed. * And that’s not the only way it enhances your cruise control experience. The Lane Centering Assist feature even scans lane markings to help you keep your vehicle centered between the lines.

*If vehicle is stopped for more than three seconds, driver must intervene and press “RES” button or accelerator pedal to resume system operation.

Head-Up Display

The available Head-Up Display creates an image on a screen in front of the driver. This minimizes the distraction of having to look at the instrument panel. The Head-Up Display keeps you informed with various driver-assist features that include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop-and-Go, Lane-Keeping System, Navigation, incoming calls and more. * Included in the Titanium Premium Package and Titanium Elite Package.

*Don’t drive while distracted. See Owner’s Manual for details and system limitations.

12.3-Inch Digital Instrument Cluster

A new way to look at your dash. The available 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster lets you configure the look and function of your driving information.

Capability to Explore

Coming standard on most trims is a turbocharged 1.5-liter 181 horsepower three-cylinder engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. There is an option to swap out that engine for a 2.5-liter 200-hp hybrid powertrain in the SE and SEL trims. And for even more power, the SEL and Titanium trims can offer a turbocharged 2.0-liter 250-hp four-cylinder engine instead. Front- or all-wheel drive is available with the three-cylinder and hybrid powertrains, while the turbo-four cylinder is only available with AWD.

Three-Engine, Four-Powertrain Lineup

1.5L EcoBoost®

The standard 1.5L EcoBoost® engine with Auto Start-Stop Technology is coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Auto Start-Stop Technology can help lower fuel consumption and vehicle emissions during city driving when your vehicle comes to a stop. The engine shuts off and then seamlessly restarts when you step on the accelerator or when your foot leaves the brake pedal.

2.0L EcoBoost®

The available 2.0L EcoBoost® engine comes with Auto Start-Stop Technology. When equipped with the 2.0L EcoBoost Class II Trailer Tow Package, this engine has a maximum towing capacity of 3,500 lbs. *

*Max towing varies based on cargo, vehicle configuration, accessories and number of passengers.

Hybrid 2.5L I-4

The 2.5L I-4 Atkinson-cycle powertrain features an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (eCVT) and a 96 kW electric motor. Also, the Escape Hybrid packages its liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery smartly outside of the passenger compartment below the floor of the second-row seats rather than occupying a significant portion of the cargo area. The briefcase-shaped battery in the standard hybrid measures less than one-third the size of the previous-generation Escape Hybrid battery. *

*See a Ford EV-certified dealer for details.

Plug-In 2.5L I-4

The Escape Plug-in Hybrid* has a Level 1/Level 2 AC charging port. Using the standard 110-volt Level 1 charger, the estimated time to fully charge the battery is 10 to 11 hours. Using an optional 240-volt Level 2 charger, charge time drops to roughly 3.5-4.5 hours, depending on outlet amperage. ** What’s more, the design of the Escape allows for the battery to be stored outside the passenger compartment, which frees up space in the cabin, offering plug-in customers more room without sacrificing space for the battery.

*Available at Ford EV-certified dealers only.
**Charge time based on manufacturer computer engineering simulations. The charging rate decreases as battery reaches full capacity. Your results may vary based on peak charging times and battery state of charge.
